Going through the year

Thanks to double-glazing, frost patterns (Eisblumen in German) on windows are now an endangered species. When we moved into our new home 10 years ago, we still had the older type of windows that became frost-coated in winter. The morning sun illuminating the ice cristalls bringing back old memories of being a kid snuggled in warm, soft duvets, listening for mum firing up the oven.

Christmas Market in Fürstenwalde, Germany

- Posted in Seasons by

Fürstenwalde is a small town east of Berlin. Beginning of December, the town sets up two huge decorated Christmas trees and the Christmas market near the cathedral attracts a lot of visitors. It is always worth a photo session. All photos were taken with a Walimex/Rokinon 85 mm lens with an aperture of 1.4. It has no autofocus and has an "analog feel", but for low-light sceneries like these its a pretty decent glas.
